FloQast alternatives and competitors

FloQast puts the month-end checklist, reconciliations, journal entries and SOX compliance in one accounting-focused tool, sold as six separate packages. The alternatives split into heavier enterprise close platforms, lighter tools for NetSuite teams, and dedicated SOX software.

BlackLine and Trintech Cadency handle high-volume, global closes; Numeric, Trintech Adra and Datarails are lighter options; Optro (formerly AuditBoard) is the choice when SOX and internal audit are the main job.

Why teams switch from FloQast

A reason to switch has to be structural: the pricing model, the ERP it has to sit inside, a deployment or security constraint, or the admin effort to keep it running. If none of the reasons below describes your setup, the migration will cost more than the problem it solves, and the FloQast profile is the better place to spend an hour.

Matching volume has outgrown the tool

Very high-volume transaction matching is a common reason FloQast buyers also evaluate BlackLine, and Trintech Cadency is built for the same enterprise matching work.

The package count makes quotes slow

FloQast sells Close Optimization, Close Automation, Connected Compliance, Compliance Pro, Reporting and Transform separately. Reporting, consolidation and the AI agent packages cost extra on top of the close products.

SOX is run by internal audit, not accounting

FloQast's SOX packages sit with the close. If internal audit owns SOX alongside risk and compliance programs, a GRC platform such as Optro covers more of that team's work.

You want flux analysis on live ERP data

Numeric builds its close product around flux analysis and transaction monitors on live ERP data, which suits NetSuite teams that report variances every month.

FloQast alternatives compared

Read the last column first. Ruling an option out is quicker than ranking what is left, and every tool in this table gives something up. If more than one person has to sign off, record each reason in the software evaluation scorecard as you work down the rows.

Prices as published by each vendor, checked on 25 Sep 2026. Quote-based means the vendor lists no price.

FloQast alternatives in detail

Nothing here is ranked, because this site publishes no scores. Each entry names who it suits better than FloQast, what the vendor charges and what you give up by taking it, so an entry whose "best for" is not you is one you can drop without reading further.

When to stay with FloQast

Staying put is the right answer more often than a shortlist implies. FloQast has to be wrong on something you cannot configure or negotiate around before a move pays for itself, and what FloQast actually charges usually settles whether cost is that thing.

Stay with FloQast if your controllers want the close checklist, reconciliations and SOX work in one accounting-owned tool and your matching volumes are moderate. The modular packages also let you add automation or compliance later without switching.

  • Reconciliations are already tied to your ERP trial balance in FloQast.
  • You run SOX 404a or 404b testing through Connected Compliance or Compliance Pro.
  • You rely on AI agents whose outputs are logged and approved by a person, with ISO 42001 certified workflows.

Choosing between FloQast alternatives

Cut the list to two or three, not five. Put the FloQast profile next to them, send every vendor the same scoping questions so the quotes come back comparable, and ask each one what the first ninety days look like.

Do the arithmetic before the demo. The software ROI calculator shows whether the saving covers implementation, and the full list of accounting software is where to widen the field if none of these fit.
