Airbase publishes no prices, so the table below lists the packages it sells and what each one covers instead of a figure. Work out what your quote will be built from before the first call, and ask for a price on the package you expect to add next while sales is still answering questions.
If the number comes back above budget, the cheaper options are on Airbase alternatives, or start from the best Expense Management Software.

Because the quote now comes from Paylocity, price it against standalone AP and spend tools rather than against the old Airbase rate card: Airbase next to BILL and Airbase next to Stampli are the two closest matches, and the rest of the market sits in expense management software.
What pushes Airbase cost up
Since the Paylocity acquisition, Airbase's spend management features are packaged as Paylocity for Finance, which Paylocity positions alongside its HR and payroll platform. Ask whether the finance modules can be bought without Paylocity payroll and how the quote changes if you do or do not use Paylocity HCM.
Ask which spend modules are in the quote (bill pay, corporate cards, reimbursements, procurement) and whether pricing is per employee, per module or a platform fee.
Airbase add-ons and extra fees
Extra costs and add-ons listed by Airbase:
- Module mix is set in the quote. No add-on prices are published.
Implementation: No implementation fee is published.
What to confirm before you sign
Confirm what existing Airbase customers keep
Airbase says customers keep their existing contacts. At renewal, ask whether your contract moves to Paylocity paper and whether the price basis changes.
Separate spend management from payroll in the quote
If Paylocity bundles finance with HCM, get the finance line priced separately so you can compare it with standalone spend tools.
Ask about card rebates and payment fees
Spend platforms often offset software cost with card rebates. Get the rebate rate and any ACH or international payment fees in writing.
Before the call, put last quarter's card and reimbursement volume into the expense management savings calculator and keep the quote in the software renewal tracker so the Paylocity renewal does not surprise you. BILL's published per-user prices are the nearest thing to a benchmark.
