BlackLine publishes no prices; checked on 25 Sep 2026 at blackline.com/request-a-demo. No free trial is listed.

BlackLine publishes no prices, so the table below lists the packages it sells and what each one covers instead of a figure. Work out what your quote will be built from before the first call, and ask for a price on the package you expect to add next while sales is still answering questions.

If the number comes back above budget, the cheaper options are on BlackLine alternatives, or start from the best Accounting Software.

No published price was found when we checked on 25 Sep 2026 at the BlackLine website (no pricing page). Anything a salesperson quotes you above or below this packaging is worth asking about in writing. No free trial is listed.

Because the price follows the product list, the useful comparison is which close work each platform includes by default: BlackLine next to FloQast, BlackLine next to Numeric and BlackLine next to Trintech Cadency, with the wider field in accounting software.

What pushes BlackLine cost up

BlackLine sells separate products: Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry, Task Management, Consolidation, Reporting & Analysis, Compliance and more for record-to-report; Intercompany; and invoice-to-cash products such as Cash Application, Collections and Credit & Risk Management. Each product you add raises the subscription.

Ask how users are counted and whether different user types (preparers, reviewers, view-only) are priced differently, and how transaction volume affects Transaction Matching and Cash Application.

BlackLine add-ons and extra fees

Extra costs and add-ons listed by BlackLine:

  • Verity AI agents (Prepare, Match, Collect and Remit) are part of the product line. Ask which are included and which are priced separately.
  • Smart Close for SAP is a separate product for SAP customers.

Implementation: No implementation fee is published. Ask whether BlackLine or a partner implements, and get that scope priced separately.

What to confirm before you sign

Start with the products that fix your close

Account Reconciliations and Task Management are the usual starting point. Get prices for Transaction Matching and Journal Entry too so you can see the second-year cost.

Get user types defined in the order form

Confirm which roles need a paid license and whether auditors or view-only users are free.

Ask how AI features are licensed

Confirm whether the Verity AI agents you saw in the demo are in the base subscription.

Scope the quote from your own close, not the demo. The month-end close checklist and the account reconciliation template show which modules you would use in month one, and FloQast's package structure gives you a second quote-only vendor to hold it against.

BlackLine pricing FAQ

How much does BlackLine cost?

+

BlackLine does not publish prices (checked 25 Sep 2026). Pricing is quoted after a demo and depends on the products and users you license.

What drives BlackLine pricing up?

+

The number of products you license, the number and type of users, and transaction volume for matching and cash application products.

What is BlackLine software for?

+

Record-to-report work: reconciling accounts, matching transactions, posting journal entries and running the close, plus intercompany and invoice-to-cash products. Quotes come through a demo request because BlackLine has no public pricing page. Checked 25 September 2026.

Who are BlackLine's competitors?

+

FloQast, Numeric and Trintech Cadency are the close platforms we compare BlackLine against. None of the four publishes a price, so compare the module list in each quote and ask every vendor how user types and transaction volume are counted.

Is FloQast better than BlackLine?

+

On cost basis they differ. FloQast says it charges no per-user fees and prices by package, while BlackLine prices by product and counts users. Neither publishes a figure, so scope both quotes to the same close before you decide.
