Tipalti pricing and plans
Tipalti publishes starting prices only: Accounts Payable from $99 per month and Mass Payments from $249 per month, both with unlimited users. Per-invoice and per-payment transaction fees are charged on top and are not published.
Prices checked on 25 Sep 2026 on the Tipalti pricing page (tipalti.com/pricing). No free trial or free plan is listed on the pricing page.
Tipalti publishes 2 prices and quotes the rest, so the table marks which rows are which. Treat the published figures as a floor rather than a budget, and get the quoted lines in writing before you compare Tipalti with anything else.
If the number comes back above budget, the cheaper options are on Tipalti alternatives, or start from the best Accounts Payable Automation Software.

A published floor with unpublished transaction fees is only comparable once you have the fee schedule, so weigh it against the alternatives: Tipalti next to BILL, Tipalti next to Stampli and Tipalti next to Airbase, inside accounts payable automation.
What pushes Tipalti cost up
Tipalti does not charge per user or per approver. The platform fee starts at $99 per month for AP and $249 per month for Mass Payments, and Tipalti says pricing scales with payment volume, number of entities and the modules you turn on.
Transaction fees are the part to model carefully. Tipalti charges per invoice and per payment, but the rates are not on the pricing page, so ask for the schedule by payment method (ACH, wire, check, card, cross-currency) and by country before comparing quotes.
Tipalti add-ons and extra fees
Extra costs and add-ons listed by Tipalti:
- Procurement, Expenses and Treasury are separate modules added to the AP plan.
- Custom quotes are available through Tipalti sales.
Implementation: Standard implementations are included in the subscription. Tipalti notes that more complex environments may need paid professional services.
What to confirm before you sign
Get the transaction fee schedule in writing
The $99 and $249 figures are floors. Ask for per-invoice and per-payment rates by method and currency, then price them against a normal month of your payments.
Ask what counts as a complex implementation
Multiple ERPs, several entities or custom approval routing can move you out of the included standard implementation into paid services.
Price the modules you will add in year two
If you expect to add Procurement or Expenses, get those prices in the first quote rather than negotiating them later.
Model a normal month of payments before you compare quotes. The AP automation savings calculator takes your ACH, wire and check counts, the payment run checklist shows which steps you are paying to remove, and BILL's published fees give you a per-payment benchmark.
